Don’t Forget the Kids

In honor of my niece’s 4th birthday (where, might I add, she had a Michael Jackson themed party)–I thought I’d showcase some great bedrooms designed for kids.

I think it’s important to keep things playful while also allowing the room to stay in line with the design of the rest of your house. Also, unless you have a massive budget for a redesign every few years–you want to make sure the room can evolve as your child grows. I’m a big fan of the convertible cribs that morph into a twin bed and then again into a double bed. Worth the money and sticks with you throughout all the room redesigns.

But if I could design with money being no object–I’d hands down make a go for the floating bunks. Great fun, slick design and totally awesome.
